The transition period for French encryption services will end on July 1, 2026

The French Financial Market Authority (AMF) reminds that according to the European Union's Crypto Asset Market Regulation (MiCA), digital asset service providers operating in France must obtain authorization from MiCA as a crypto asset service provider no later than July 1, 2026, otherwise they cannot continue to provide services. Those who conduct business without authorization will face up to two years in prison and a fine of 30000 euros, and AMF may publish a blacklist and block related websites.
