On February 9th (UTC+8), Kyle Samani, former co-founder of Multicoin and chairman of the board of directors of Forward Industries, criticized Hyperliquid, stating that it reflects many problems in the cryptocurrency industry, including founders fleeing their home country, code being closed and requiring access permits. Yunt Capital analyst Steven countered by stating that Hyperliquid has strengthened its community through token airdrops and protocol revenue buybacks, and disclosed that the fund HYPE holds 40 million tokens. Hyperliquid community member Luke Cannon mocked Kyle's tenure at Forward Industries for poor performance, resulting in investors losing billions of dollars.
