On February 6th, several European tokenization and market infrastructure companies, including Securitize, 21X, and Boerse Stuttgart Group, jointly sent a letter to EU lawmakers proposing amendments to the EU's DLT Pilot Regime. These companies point out that the current asset scope, issuance size cap, and six-year license restrictions hinder the expansion of regulated on chain markets, and warn that global liquidity may permanently migrate due to the United States' progress in tokenized securities and near real time settlements. The proposal includes expanding the scope of qualified assets, raising the upper limit, and removing term limits through technical "rapid revision" to enhance the competitiveness of the European capital market.
