Gemini will close customer accounts in the UK, EU, and Australia

Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini announced that it will close all of its customer accounts in the UK, EU, and Australia. According to the announcement released on February 5th, accounts in these regions will enter a withdrawal only mode starting from March 5th and are planned to be fully closed after one month. Meanwhile, Gemini has ceased new account registration and all incentive plans in the aforementioned regions. Gemini will go public in September 2025, and its stock price has fallen by about 23% since the beginning of 2025 due to the impact of the decline in cryptocurrency prices. On the day of the news release, the stock price further dropped by 2.8%.
