Trump raises $483 million to respond to midterm elections

US President Trump has stated that his only concern is losing Republican control of Congress in the November elections. According to campaign funding declaration documents, as of the end of December, Trump's political committee and Republican National Committee had raised a total of $483 million, almost three times the total $167 million raised by the Democratic Party. Trump said that midterm election losses are a common occurrence for presidents.
