The US Securities and Exchange Commission adjusts its operational plan due to government shutdown

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has stated that due to funding failures and partial government shutdowns, the agency is currently operating according to its operational plan during the shutdown period. From January 31, 2026 until further notice, only a very small number of staff members will continue to work.
