BGB is now listed on Kraken – the beginning of a new era! A lot of people, myself included, used to think of BGB as just another platform token, similar to other CEX tokens – offering some perks, launching new coins, and doing buybacks. But over the past two years, Bitget has quietly done something big: it’s freed BGB from being tied to a single exchange, bringing it into the mainstream and transforming it into a “universal fuel” that bridges the centralized and decentralized worlds. Now, BGB has three identities: 1️⃣ A utility token for the Bitget exchange (used for fee discounts, earning rewards, and participating in Launchpool); 2️⃣ The core asset of the Bitget Wallet (with 120 million real users – a solid traffic gateway); 3️⃣ The gas and governance token for the Morph blockchain (this is the big one – Morph aims to become the settlement layer for global stablecoins. Imagine a Visa-level clearing network – the potential is massive). With these three roles combined, BGB is no longer just a “platform token.” It’s a functional asset with real demand, a user base, and a strong technical vision. The listing of BGB on Kraken, in my opinion, marks the start of a new era. Especially in the U.S. market, compliance isn’t optional – it’s a high barrier to entry. Kraken, as a long-established exchange, is known for its “cleanliness” and has extremely strict legal reviews for token listings. The fact that BGB passed their scrutiny means that, in the eyes of Western regulators, it’s no longer seen as some “sketchy altcoin” but rather a transparent and compliant digital asset. For family offices and overseas funds that were previously restricted by regulations and hesitant to invest, Kraken now provides a compliant channel, eliminating the “regulatory friction” for big money to enter. To be honest, I personally hold BGB, and in the long run, I’ve always believed it has massive growth potential. This listing on Kraken means that the deepest USD liquidity pool in the world is now open to it. With lower slippage and stronger risk resistance, it will attract more institutional capital in the future. Currently, BGB’s market cap is only $2.3 billion – decent for a “platform token,” but if you consider its vision as the “global payment settlement layer,” it’s just getting started. This breakthrough into the Western capital markets is a milestone in BGB’s transformation. Let’s wait and see!
