Salvadoran central bank increases holdings of $50 million in gold, president fulfills promise to buy 1 Bitcoin per day

The Central Bank of El Salvador announced an increase in its holdings of gold worth $50 million. After purchasing 9298 troy ounces, its total gold reserves reached 67403 ounces, worth approximately $360 million. At the same time, the Salvadoran government increased its holdings of one Bitcoin on the same day, as promised by President Naib Bukel. According to Arkham data, the country's Bitcoin holdings have reached 7547, with a total value of approximately $635 million at the current price of around $84000. President Bukkel stated in forwarding the central bank announcement that 'we have copied the bottom again', but did not explicitly mention specific assets.
