Ethereum researchers propose incorporating FOCIL into Hegota upgrade core mechanism

Ethereum researcher Thomas Thiery (pseudonym "soispoke") proposed introducing fork selection mandatory inclusion list (FOCIL, or EIP-7805) as a core feature in Hegota, the next major protocol upgrade of Ethereum. FOCIL aims to reduce the network's dependence on centralized block builders by allowing multiple validators to enforce transaction inclusion. Hegota upgrade is expected to be launched later this year after Glamsterdam.
