EU initiates legal proceedings against Google for violating Digital Markets Act regulations
According to CCTV News, the European Commission has issued a statement stating that it has launched two compliance procedures today to urge Google to fulfill its obligations under the Digital Markets Act. These compliance procedures formally require the committee to engage in regulatory dialogue with Google regarding its two obligations under the Digital Markets Act. The first stage of the hearing involves Google's obligation under Article 6 (7) of the Direct Marketing Act to provide third-party developers with free and effective interoperability of hardware and software functions controlled by the Google Android operating system; The second stage of the lawsuit involves Google's obligation under Article 6 (11) of the Direct Marketing Law to provide anonymous ranking, query, click, and browse data held by it to third-party online search engine providers on fair, reasonable, and non discriminatory terms. Next, the European Commission will complete the investigation within six months after initiating the procedure. In the next three months, the committee will report the preliminary investigation results to Google and draft measures to be implemented to ensure effective compliance with the Direct Marketing Act.
