The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has announced that licensed corporations, licensed virtual asset service providers, and related entities are required to transition to the second-generation Suspicious Transaction Reporting and Management System (DataMS 2) developed by the Joint Financial Intelligence Unit before February 2, 2026. This platform will replace the existing system, enhance automation and analysis capabilities, and become the only channel for submitting suspicious transaction reports from February 2, 2026. Reports can be submitted in XML format, specified PDF format, or online form.
