MetaPlanet provisioned a loss of $679 million due to fluctuations in Bitcoin market value

Japanese listed company MetaPlanet has announced an upward adjustment in its performance forecast for the fiscal year 2025, with revenue increasing from 6.8 billion yen to 8.905 billion yen and operating profit rising to 6.287 billion yen. However, due to the fluctuation of Bitcoin's quarterly market value, the company provisioned 104.636 billion yen (approximately 679 million US dollars) for assessed losses, resulting in a general loss of 98.558 billion yen.
