ZachXBT questions Circle's inadequate response to security incidents

Chain detective ZachXBT posted on X platform questioning Circle's handling attitude in the Base network SwapNet contract attack, calling Circle a "bad actor". This attack resulted in approximately $13 million in USDC losses, of which approximately $3 million USDC remains at addresses 0x6cAad... 833e that can be frozen by Circle, but there is currently no effective disposal. ZachXBT believes that Circle, as a centralized stablecoin issuer, has not timely protected user assets and questions why developers still build applications based on USDC, stating that its centralized risk and governance methods have affected ecological trust.
