Optimism releases quantum roadmap after Superchain

Optimism has released a quantum roadmap for Superchain, which plans to gradually phase out ECDSA based external accounts (EOA) in the OP mainnet and Superchain over the next 10 years, subject to governance approval. All ECDSA EOAs will need to delegate private key management permissions to the post quantum smart contract account. After the window period ends, the OP Stack chain will gradually phase out EOA transactions signed by the original ECDSA and ensure that the upgrade is synchronized across the Superchain network through a unified roadmap.
