The Office of the Superintendent of the Currency (OCC) has stated that the review process for the bank license application of the Trump family's encrypted project WLFI will remain non political, and any political or personal financial relationships will not affect the review results. Anti crypto Senator Elizabeth Warren has requested a suspension of WLFI's National Trust Bank license application unless the Trump family sells their stake in WLFI, a request that has been rejected by the OCC. OCC Auditor General Jonathan Gould emphasized in his response to Warren's letter that OCC will fulfill its review responsibilities rather than meeting Warren's demands. Last December, OCC conditionally approved the transformation of Ripple, Circle, Paxos, BitGo, and Fidelity Digital Assets into federally licensed national trust banks.
