The last 4 hours of the Zama token Dutch auction saw a steep rise in total bids, starting to feel a bit of that FOMO vibe... But unlike previous on-chain Dutch auctions, this time the crypto auction doesn’t show the price and quantity of each on-chain bid. You can only bid based on what you think it’s worth, so it’s kinda hard to FOMO (or maybe it’s FOMO in disguise??). It’s a bit like when Google IPO’d back in the day with their secret Dutch auction: Google set up their own website, and whether you were a big institution or a retail investor, you could only input the number of shares and price you wanted in the designated system, with no clue how much others were bidding or what the current clearing price was.
