On January 24th, Polymarket data showed that the probability of Rick Rieder, BlackRock's Global Income Chief Investment Officer, becoming the next Federal Reserve Chairman has risen to 58%, making him the most popular candidate. The probability of Walsh being elected has dropped to 28%, while the probabilities of Waller and Hassett being elected are both 6%. US President Trump previously stated that he has completed interviews with candidates and hinted that the final candidate is a "highly respected and extremely well-known" heavyweight figure, while praising BlackRock executive Rick Rieder as "impressive".
