Paradex is liquidated due to database maintenance issues and will refund $650000 to 200 users

Paradex released a report on January 19th regarding a maintenance vulnerability that triggered a liquidation event, announcing that it will refund $650000 to 200 affected users. Paradox originally planned to perform a 30 minute database upgrade and maintenance, but during the upgrade process, a race condition occurred when the service was restarted, resulting in data that was damaged during critical data operations being persisted to the cloud and published to Paradox Chain. As a result, some markets' fund indices were reset to 0, causing abnormal fund gains and losses and triggering multi market liquidation. Subsequently, Paradex temporarily closed platform access, cancelled all open orders except for take profit and stop loss orders, and rolled back the blockchain to the snapshot state before the maintenance window began.
