[The Netherlands' Largest Pension Fund Reduced U.S. Treasury Holdings by Nearly 40% Over Six Months Last Year] According to a report by the Dutch newspaper *Het Financieele Dagblad*, the Dutch civil servants' pension fund ABP reduced its U.S. Treasury holdings by nearly 40% over a six-month period in 2025. As of the end of March 2025, ABP held nearly €30 billion ($35.2 billion) in U.S. Treasuries, but by the end of September, the holdings had dropped to just €18.5 billion. At the same time, the fund increased its German government bond holdings from €18.6 billion to €28.7 billion. ABP stated that it evaluates 'a country's fundamental conditions and outlook, as well as the maturity structure of government bonds, which are equally important. These factors play a critical role in aligning our investments with long-term pension obligations.' ABP's investment update reports are subject to a three-month delay.
