Gate founder Dr. Han emphasizes the need for a new perspective to understand the value of Meme coin

Dr. Han, founder and CEO of Gate, stated in the latest AMA interview hosted by Gate that although he personally does not purchase Meme coin as an investment target, he will conduct transactions through products such as Gate Alpha and Perp DEX to study user behavior and market psychology. He pointed out that there is a common misconception in the market to measure Meme coin and the cryptocurrency industry using traditional asset or stock evaluation frameworks, which is not applicable, similar to the limitations of understanding Bitcoin using traditional stock logic in the early days. Dr. Han believes that Meme coin is not inherently "worthless", and its emotions, consensus, and experimental properties need to be examined from the correct perspective, rather than simply applying the traditional asset valuation system. He also mentioned that some decentralized applications have demonstrated unique value in specific scenarios, such as predicting market performance even better than traditional institutional models in events such as the US presidential election.
