Survey shows that the Federal Reserve may keep interest rates unchanged until Powell's term ends

The latest survey shows that most economists expect the Federal Reserve to keep its benchmark interest rate unchanged this quarter and may continue to maintain the status quo until the end of Federal Reserve Chairman Powell's term in May. Compared to last month, most respondents had expected to cut interest rates at least once before March. Most economists still expect at least two interest rate cuts later this year.
