The issue with ETH has never been TPS, but rather who holds the power of validation|The true significance of native DVT!
CM @cmdefi totally nailed it here—couldn’t agree more!
Vitalik pushing native DVT clearly aims to reshape Ethereum’s staking power structure.
1️⃣ ETH staking right now isn’t very ‘Ethereum spirit’: single-node + high entry barriers → funds are forced to concentrate among a few operators, like Lido or some CEXs. This isn’t decentralization; it’s structural compromise.
2️⃣ What Vitalik wants to do is reduce the protocol’s reliance on ‘soft governance centers’ like Lido/exchanges. This is a political security issue.
3️⃣ For DVT protocol layers like SSV: short-term bearish, long-term bullish.
Native DVT will only handle ‘basic configurations.’ The real value—where fees can be charged and value can accumulate—will still lie in the Operator market, reputation systems, and compliance customization.
It’s like having Office built into the system, but professional users will still opt for more powerful tools.
4️⃣ So the conclusion is simple: long-term, whether ETH can win doesn’t depend on TPS, but on whether power distribution can remain self-consistent over time. Native DVT is the price a network must pay to live longer.
