PayPal will send cryptocurrency tax forms before February 15th

PayPal announced that it will send users the US Internal Revenue Service Tax 1099-DA form before February 15th to comply with the regulations of the US Internal Revenue Service. Starting from the 2025 tax year, the US Internal Revenue Service requires digital asset brokers, including PayPal, to declare gains from digital asset disposals. In addition, PayPal will provide its debit card users with free self-service tax filing services, including the submission of federal and state tax returns for 2025.
