White House Crypto Committee Director: Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Promotion Restricted by Legal Provisions

Patrick Witt, Director of the White House Cryptography Committee, stated that the push for the establishment of a strategic reserve of Bitcoin in the United States is still ongoing, but is limited by some obscure and complex legal provisions, and there are challenges in cross departmental coordination. At present, the Ministry of Justice and the Office of Legal Counsel are discussing relevant legal and regulatory issues, which are still on the priority list.
