Vitalik Buterin tweeted that in 2026, Ethereum will systematically fix privacy and data issues, including using ZK-EVM and BAL to lower the threshold for full node operation, verifying the authenticity of data returned by RPC through Helios, using ORAM and PIR to request data from RPC without disclosing specific content, promoting social recovery wallets and time locks to reduce the risk of financial loss after private keys, achieving privacy payments consistent with ordinary transfer experiences, and enhancing privacy anti censorship capabilities under ERC-4337, future native account abstraction, and FOCIL. At the same time, it will promote IPFS based on on on on chain application interfaces to reduce dependence on centralized servers.
