White House Advisor Confirms No Sale of Samourai Wallet, Confiscates Bitcoin

Patrick Witt, Executive Director of the White House Digital Asset Advisory Committee, stated that the US Department of Justice has confirmed that, under Executive Order 14233, Samourai Wallet developers Rodriguez and Hill have not yet liquidated and will not liquidate the over $6 million worth of Bitcoin paid in their plea agreement. These digital assets will continue to remain on the US government's balance sheet as part of strategic business rules. The administrative order stipulates that Bitcoin reserved for criminal or civil asset confiscation shall not be sold.
