Democratic members of the US House of Representatives Maxine Waters, Brad Sherman, and Sean Casten sent a letter to Paul Atkins, Chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), requesting clarification on the reasons for the SEC's suspension of enforcement cases against TRON founder Sun Yuchen. The lawmakers pointed out that the case has been on hold for about 11 months, which may affect investors' confidence in the independence and credibility of regulatory agencies, and question the SEC's enforcement focus and effectiveness in the cryptocurrency field. The letter also mentioned the token trading situation between Sun Yuchen and World Liberty Financial, and requested the SEC to provide relevant documents and communication records. The SEC has not yet made a public response to this.
