The lawsuit initiated by digital banks Revolut, Visa, and Mastercard in the UK regarding the regulatory cap policy on international transaction fees has been dismissed. The High Court of London has ruled that the UK Payment Systems Authority has the authority to set price limits on cross-border transfer fees. Since Brexit, the amount of related transaction fees has significantly increased. Visa and Revolut filed a judicial review in 2025, alleging that the regulatory authorities exceeded their authority and affected market competition. As of press time, none of the three parties have responded to the ruling result.
