Bitfarms appoints Edie Hofmeister as Chairman of the Board

On January 14th, Bitcoin mining company Bitfarms announced the appointment of Edie Hofmeister as Chairman of the Board, replacing Brian Howlett who has been serving as Chairman since 2024. Brian Howlett will continue to serve as an independent director. Bitfarms stated that this personnel adjustment is part of the company's strategy to relocate to the United States, aimed at enhancing accessibility to the US capital market, expanding the US investor base, and improving eligibility for inclusion in some stock indices. In January, Bitfarms sold its Latin American business for $30 million to continue its transformation into the AI and high-performance computing fields.
