Zcash Foundation deploys 5 DNS seed nodes to cope with ECC server shutdown

The Zcash Foundation announced that five new DNS seed nodes have been deployed in South Carolina and Oregon in the United States, as well as Belgium, Germany, and Finland in Europe, in response to the discontinuation of DNS seed nodes operated by Electric Coin Company (ECC) on January 8th. At present, the Zcash Foundation operates a total of six seed nodes to ensure reliable node discovery and improve wallet and node startup performance for users. The Zcash Foundation also plans to deploy more nodes in other regions, and Shielded Labs is also working hard to deploy additional seed nodes.
