[Bank of England Member Taylor: Interest Rates Will Be Further Lowered as Inflation Declines]
Jin10 News, January 14 – Bank of England member Taylor stated that the interest rates set by the Bank of England should continue to decrease, as inflation is likely to stabilize near the central bank's 2% target level soon. Taylor said: 'We now expect inflation to reach the target level by mid-2026, rather than by 2027 as we previously forecasted.' Taylor added: 'Given the slowdown in wage growth, I believe this situation is sustainable. Therefore, I now anticipate that monetary policy will return to a neutral level more quickly... Interest rates should continue to trend downward, and if my expectations align with the data, this will indeed be the case.'
