Spanish bank Bankinter invests in cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me

Spanish bank Bankinter has acquired a minority stake in local cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me and participated in the exchange's € 30 million funding round, which is expected to be completed in August 2025. This round of financing also includes investment from stablecoin issuer Tether. Bit2Me has previously received support from major financial institutions such as BBVA, Unicaja, and Cecabank in Spain. The exchange is headquartered in Madrid and is one of the first companies to register and operate within the European Union in accordance with the European Union's Crypto Asset Market Regulation (MiCA).
