Spent some time today continuing to dive into Miden, and I feel like I’ve made a tiny bit of progress—gained a little more understanding.
Some chains are inherently designed for DeFi, but not all chains need to cater to every scenario at the same time. Some designs are meant for the present, focusing on high liquidity, complete transparency, efficiency, and fast outcomes.
But there are other chains that emphasize more complex privacy conditions or compliance methods closer to the real world. Miden seems to fall into this category—many of its design decisions are actually aimed at future use cases.
Take client-side proving, for example. Moving proof generation back to the user side (mobile/browser) instead of relying entirely on centralized servers not only enhances privacy but also makes compliance a choice.
The official weekly report mentioned that by 2026, privacy will become the moat for crypto. From this perspective, Miden is laying the foundation for RWA and AI applications—it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Also, Miden’s first phase snapshot runs until 1/16, and the second phase will start from 1/17 to 3/16. I’ll organize the direction for the second phase in the coming days and keep sharing updates once it’s ready!
