Pancake proposes to adjust the maximum supply of CAKE to 400 million pieces

On January 13th (UTC+8), the official Pancake team released a proposal to adjust the maximum supply of CAKE from 450 million pieces to 400 million pieces. The official statement indicates that the adjusted token quantity is sufficient to meet the future development needs of the protocol, with a current circulation of about 350 million tokens. There is still a buffer of about 50 million tokens between the new maximum supply, and it is expected that there will be no need to use them. The team may activate buffering mechanisms in special circumstances. In addition, the Ecosystem Development Fund has accumulated approximately 3.5 million CAKEs, which will be prioritized for protocol development before new emissions are added. It is almost impossible for the protocol to return to an inflationary state.
