Paidun Report: Crypto Asset Theft Losses Exceed $4.04 Billion by 2025

According to Paidun monitoring data, losses from cryptocurrency related theft cases will exceed $4.04 billion in 2025, an increase of approximately 34.2% from $3.01 billion in 2024. Among them, cryptocurrency hacking attacks caused a loss of 2.67 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of about 24.2%; The fraud losses amounted to 1.37 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of approximately 64.2%. Approximately $334.9 million of stolen cryptocurrencies have been recovered or frozen, while the amount recovered in 2024 is $488.5 million.
