The Flow Community Governance Committee has completed the recovery of counterfeit FLOW tokens

The Flow Community Governance Committee has completed the recovery of forged FLOW tokens that have not been cleared in CEX. The relevant tokens are now isolated and restricted from storage on the chain, awaiting destruction. The action plan for permanently destroying counterfeit tokens is scheduled to take place on January 30, 2026. In addition, the foundation has revoked the additional access rights of the community governance committee for recovery operations today. Previously, Flow released a review report on attack incidents stating that attackers exploited network vulnerabilities to forge tokens and steal approximately $3.9 million across chains, but did not touch legally held assets. The vast majority of forged assets have been frozen by on chain storage or exchange partners.
