Binance launched a $100 million BSC ecosystem fund, buying $50K worth of meme coins each time. This move is pretty clever. Essentially, it’s a game of hype and anticipation. With just a small amount of money, the market hypes itself up. Retail investors rush to get in early, communities spread the word organically, and prices pump on their own—no need to spend big to manipulate the market. The same logic applies to Shuang Sheng’s posts. No angle? Create one yourself. The market expects CZ to occasionally post and hype Binance memes, or He Yi to come up with new concepts. This anticipation alone is enough to get funds moving within the BSC ecosystem. Of course, there are downsides. Meme coins will keep rotating, funds get scattered, and the biggest players only intend to play the hype game. This means no one is seriously spending money to pump and hold the market, so the market cap ceiling for any single coin is hard to break. But for Binance, their main goal is to create demand for BNB while satisfying retail investors’ gambling desires—they’re not here to pump coins so you can make money. So, I don’t think BSC can produce a meme coin with a market cap over $1B like SOL did. But looking at it from another angle, retail investors don’t really need a massive meme coin. As long as they can throw in $100 and make hundreds of times that, it’s enough. For Binance, this strategy is the most effortless for them. And for the crypto space, it keeps bringing new hot topics (even if the aesthetics are questionable). Everyone gets what they need. As long as you know how to play the game, it’s fine. This post isn’t hyping or criticizing—just sharing an observation.
