Last night, after grabbing some late-night snacks with my friend, he stared at the trading screen and sighed: 'Now even farming points requires real positions. One slip and it’s liquidation… I’m losing it.' I said: Don’t force it, try market making instead. So he went to @StandX_Official and placed some two-sided limit orders. Even though they didn’t get filled, he was still earning points. I was like, 'Huh?'
This week’s key updates boil down to three points:
- Maker Points (Jan 5): Orders lasting >3 seconds now count for points, and the closer to market price, the better (tiers: 0-10/10-30/30-100bps).
- Maker Uptime: Maintain two-sided orders within 10bps for ≥30 minutes per hour, and earn Maker Hours to share in the monthly 5M token pool.
- ETH is now live, with up to 40x leverage. Both BTC and ETH can be used for order farming.
The devs think: Use auto-yielding DUSD for margin so funds don’t just sit idle; incentives focus on 'tight spreads + uptime,' and a real-time uptime dashboard is on the way. Plus, they’re prioritizing building depth for BTC (around 33 BTC within 10bps) before expanding to other pairs—this approach, I like. I’m gonna try placing some two-sided orders tonight too…
