BREAKING: US holiday online shopping surged +6.8% YoY, to a record $257.8 billion, between November 1st to December 31st, 2025.
This marks at least the 6th consecutive annual increase.
There were 25 days where daily spending exceeded $4 billion, up from 18 days in 2024.
Cyber Week sales alone jumped +7.7% YoY, to a record $44.2 billion, with Cyber Monday sales jumping +7.1% YoY, to $14.3 billion.
Mobile shopping accounted for 56.4% of all online transactions, reaching 66.5% on Christmas Day.
Furthermore, "Buy Now Pay Later" spending rose +9.8% YoY, to $20.0 billion for the first time.
Meanwhile, traffic to retail sites from generative AI tools surged +693% YoY as consumers used AI shopping assistants to find deals.
