I’d shift my focus from making money to managing risk: not being employed, nor being enslaved by market sentiment, with assets kept highly discreet. The portfolio would aim for cash flow, defense, and optionality. Stable income assets would cover annual expenses, and I’d never touch the principal: core positions would be reserved for Bitcoin, stored cold and held across cycles; privacy assets would have a limited but essential allocation, because the clearer the regulations, the stronger the demand for privacy; infrastructure bets would target long-term gaps, not short-term narratives; and I’d maintain ample liquidity, only adding positions during extreme sentiment. I’ve seen too many people turn their fortunes around in one market cycle, only to get liquidated in the next. My real goal has never been to make more money, but to avoid being eliminated and to have enough time for compounding to work its magic.
