Chinese folks in the U.S. can easily avoid the 'kill line.' As long as you can return to China anytime. Before heading back, max out your credit cards in the U.S. ➕ overdraw bank loans to pocket some cash. Use domestic healthcare for treatment. Once you’re back, the U.S. can’t do anything to you, let alone 'kill' you. But if you’ve given up everything in China and are completely tied to the U.S. social system, then if something goes wrong, you’re definitely on the chopping block. Same goes for China—if you tie everything to the country, like assets and property, while it may not 'kill' you, it can easily control you. So, balancing both sides and keeping a backup plan is the best move. Don’t burn bridges, and don’t think you can completely offend China just because you’re abroad. Who knows what the future holds? Although Satoshi Nakamoto created a system outside of major nations, giving you more flexibility, people still need a place to settle down.
