[JPMorgan: Bank of Japan May Continue Raising Interest Rates]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, JPMorgan economist Ayako Fujita stated that the Bank of Japan may continue raising interest rates to alleviate concerns over the weakening yen. Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said at a press conference last Friday that some committee members have expressed concerns about the impact of yen depreciation on future inflation. Many reporters questioned whether the continued depreciation of the yen is due to the Bank of Japan delaying policy adjustments. JPMorgan expects the Bank of Japan to raise interest rates twice next year, in April and October, with the policy rate reaching 1.25% by the end of 2026. (Jin10)
