[U.S. Department of Justice Begins Releasing Epstein Case Investigation Files, Redacts Information of Thousands of Victims and Their Families]
BlockBeats News, December 20 – The U.S. Department of Justice has begun releasing investigation files related to the Epstein case. The Department of Justice added a note on the webpage where the document links were published, stating that it had made 'every reasonable effort' to redact personal information of the victims but warned that some information might be inadvertently disclosed.
It is reported that Deputy Attorney General Branch stated in a letter to Congress that during a comprehensive review of the files, the Department of Justice identified more than 1,200 victims and their family members, and all related names and identity information have been redacted in accordance with the law. Earlier that day, Branch mentioned that hundreds of thousands of documents would be released on the 19th, but full disclosure might take 'several weeks.' (CCTV)
