The USA has been taken advantage of for decades by the European Union and it's member states. Unfortunately, our weak Presidents in the USA have never fought for fair trade deals with European countries and have never forced NATO members to carry their weight for defense. As a result, the USA ends up subsidizing defense and health costs for most of the European countries. Despite the recent trade deal President Trump signed with the EU, they continue to take advantage of us on drug costs. European pharma companies no longer have any incentive to develop new drugs because of regulatory changes. So all new drugs will only come from the USA research, then European countries will mandate low prices for their citizens, forcing Americans to pay higher drug prices and foot the bill. Americans are paying 3x more for drugs than Europeans due to this regulatory mess. Simply put, the EU, India and China just copy whatever new drugs the USA invents and ignore patents and rights.(Wall Street Mav)
