December moved as fast as a Lambo, between long-term ecosystem moves, the Legendary release, and a top-tier collaboration, it was a pretty special one ✨ Here’s what we covered (quite the list, right?): 🔹 Genesis Buyback & Burn 🔹 Legendary Sneakers 🔹 STEPN x @Lamborghini 🔹 Marathon Challenge & in-app events 🔹 A look back at 2025 🔹 Community Questions Let’s go through it 👇 Genesis Buyback & Burn 🔥 We started with something that sets the tone for the long run: 🔹 We will now regularly buy Genesis Sneakers from the marketplace and burn them permanently 🔹 This begins in December and continues long term 🔹 The idea is to reinforce the foundation of the ecosystem in a steady, sustainable way 🔹 We’ll get regular public reports so everyone can follow along We also got an early heads-up for next year: 🔹 GMT earnings will be halved on January 1, 2026, and then every two years after that 🔹 It’s meant to keep rewards healthy as the ecosystem grows A clear, steady move toward long-term balance ⚖️ Legendary Sneakers 🧡 A milestone years in the making: Legendary Sneakers are officially live! 🔸 The very first batch is extremely limited: eight STEPN x Lamborghini Genesis Legendary Runners 🔸 That’s it for now (no Minting / Enhancement yet) What’s next: 🔸 Additional Legendary batches will come, but slowly and intentionally 🔸 Minting and Enhancement will unlock later, once everything feels balanced Wen Legendary? In-App Events & Marathon Updates 🏃‍♂️ The Marathon Challenge keeps getting deeper, and December brought a new twist: 1️⃣ Players can now choose their difficulty level: 🔹 Lock 50 GGUSD → 2 Energy/day 🔹 Lock 100 GGUSD → 4 Energy/day 🔹 Lock 200 GGUSD → 6 Energy/day (And yes, you can enter multiple if you’re ambitious, or very confident.) 2️⃣ First Major Marathon Raffle 🔹 Runs Dec 12–14 🔹 You’re eligible if you entered all three rounds or own a Season Pass whitelist badge 🔹 Snapshot on Dec 11 🔹 Rewards: 199 Common Sneakers + 1 Genesis 3️⃣ STEPNathon AKA he final challenge of the season: 🔹 Choose 21 km or 42 km 🔹 Complete in one session in STEPN or STEPN GO 🔹 Requires a Season Pass 🔹 Jan 19–25 🔹 Finishers get the Season 1 LEGEND badge, an exclusive background, and entry to a Genesis raffle And yes, a Christmas event is coming, with a 100,000 GMT prize pool! Community Questions ⁉️ Q: When Genesis Sneakers are bought back, are they burned entirely, meaning the shoes and their existing numbers are permanently removed? A: The number gets recycled: it can be reused, or we may choose not to, depending on what makes sense for keeping the total supply low. Q: What benefits or effects do Legendary Sneakers actually have in the app? A: The main effect is reducing overall sneaker supply, especially at the Epic tier. Q: Will we see mintable Legendary Sneakers in the app? A: Yes, they will be mintable in the future, once the system is ready and balanced. Q: When’s the next update for STEPN GO?
