Harvard University increased its Bitcoin holdings from $117 million to $443 million in Q3, while its gold ETF investments also rose from $102 million to $235 million. In its investment strategy betting on currency depreciation, Harvard shows a preference for Bitcoin over gold at a ratio of about 2:1.
HKU now accepts Bitcoin for tuition payments.
However, no schools currently support tuition payments in gold, as physical gold involves issues like storage, authentication, price fluctuations, and discounting, which schools lack the internal capacity to handle.
