[US CFTC Approves Ethereum, Bitcoin, and USDC as Collateral in Derivatives Markets]
BlockBeats News, December 9, according to The Block, in the latest financial market initiative, the Acting Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Caroline Pham, has launched a 'Digital Asset Pilot Program,' allowing specific cryptocurrencies to be used as collateral in derivatives markets. Initially, the pilot program will be limited to Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), and USDC as collateral in derivatives markets.
This announcement builds upon an initiative promoted by the CFTC in September of this year, which aimed to expand the use of tokenized collateral (especially stablecoins) in derivatives markets.
