After the upgrade of Ethereum Fusaka, the first lightweight hard fork BPO1 will be activated around 22:21 tomorrow night, with symbolic significance far greater than practical significance. After activation, the target blob count increased from 6 to 10, and the maximum blob count increased from 9 to 15 (per block). In theory, it can increase data availability space by about 67% and significantly increase block capacity. In human terms, BPO1 supports more L2 data submissions after activation. The larger block capacity allows L2 to boldly optimize packaging and stimulate potential demand. However, based on the current situation, the blob usage rate after Fusaka upgrade has been about 75% -90% in the past few days, indicating a clear oversupply. The demand on the L2 end is sluggish, and BPO1 upgrade is even more underutilized. So is BPO1 upgrade meaningless? Actually, it's not like that. Upgrading is a 'icing on the cake' rather than a 'timely help'. All upgrades to the underlying Infra are aimed at shining a sword in the bull market, and the public chain that can truly support 100000+TPS is slowly approaching us.
