Just a quick mention. The Celo team has launched a new project @SelfProtocol. Celo co-founder and CTO @marek_ is personally leading the team—this isn’t one of those “startup” projects where regular team members leave to do their own thing. Combining the sector (privacy identity protocol) + the team (Celo core members), the best comparable project for Self Protocol’s valuation should be $H Humanity. The latter currently has an FDV of $750 million. Given the seed round size for Self Protocol ($9 million), the seed round valuation is likely in the $50-70 million range. It’s reasonable to assume that Self Protocol will raise future rounds at higher valuations. Of course, let’s hope Self Protocol only looks up to $H in terms of valuation, and not in terms of airdrop strategies.
