[David Sacks Accuses The New York Times of Publishing False Reports and Hires Lawyers to Respond]
David Sacks, the White House cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence director, tweeted that The New York Times sent five reporters five months ago attempting to fabricate a report alleging conflicts of interest during his tenure. The accusations include fabricating a dinner meeting with tech giant CEOs, inventing promises of access to the president, and baselessly accusing interference in defense contracts. Sacks stated that he has refuted the allegations point by point and accused The New York Times of having no intention of writing an impartial report. He has hired the law firm Clare Locke to handle the matter.
